After feeling the call back to the West Coast, Catherine sold Hallelu in 2020. Catherine is now consulting and sharing her knowledge and experience with businesses and brands. She loves helping on all sides of the creative and development process. She specializes in everything from brand conception, creative direction, sourcing, merchandising, private labeling, marketing, styling, and buying.
About
Catherine Yearwood was born and raised in Wrightsville Beach, NC. She spent much of her childhood traveling the world on a sailboat with her family. At 18 Catherine moved to San Diego, CA. It didn't take long for her talents and style to be discovered by one of Southern California's largest surf retailers. Catherine's ability to know what customers want was undeniable so they quickly promoted her to be a buyer. In 2001 she met Dave, a traveling professional surfer, and a year and a half later they were married.
In 2003 Catherine and Dave relocated back to Catherine's hometown of Wrightsville Beach. Upon returning, Catherine began to dream of bringing her fashion sense to the town that she loved. In 2005 Hallelu opened its doors and the brand's reach has grown far beyond the beach that Catherine was raised on. After 15 years of business, Hallelu has been featured in InStyle, Glamour, Lucky, Good Morning America, and walked the runway of New York Fashion Week.
